Just a note to say that I’m back to blogging. Sorry for a long pause in my blogging because a lot of things happened recently but I haven’t forgotten you all. Just dropping in and say a big hello!

I hope to add more entries on hair, beauty, nails, tanning and spa! Keep an eye out for those. Thanks for visiting the one and only Faux Blondes blog.

I love Wella Wellite Creme Lightener. It always lighten my dark hair to light blonde every time. It works so well and processes gently. It even works better than Clairol 7th Stage lightener by the fact it works more powerfully for some reason. If you need to lighten your hair or touch up your roots, go with Wella Wellite. It will lighten your hair all way to platinum after 1 round depending on your hair texture. If your hair is naturally thick, it may lighten your hair to a banana yellow. This package comes with two applications so you don’t spend a lot of money every time you bleach your hair. I have mid-length hair so two applications of this lightener was sufficient for me. I will always resort to this product for all of my lightening needs.

You can buy this lightener/bleach via Amazon: Wella Wellite Creme Bleach

After using ColorFix, a color reducer agent that can be purchased at Sally Beauty Supply Store, all of the dark color has been removed. Once this chemical has been washed out of the hair, I left my hair air dry before resorting my hair to bleach. My personal preference of bleach is Wella Wellite, an on scalp lightener that comes with blue oil and two activator packets. I would get two boxes of Wellite because I had long hair plus it may take 2 or 3 rounds of bleaching depending how much my hair can take. I ended up bleaching two rounds. My hair, from orangey hair was lifted to a dark banana yellow with bits of orange. Since my hair wasn’t lightened up enough I had to go with a level 8 hair color. If you have successfully lifted your hair to a nice banana yellow then go with my personal favorite, Clairol Creme Toner in Towhead. It is a beautiful shade of cool ash blonde that looks natural and reduces bits of brassiness in your hair. I have used it countless of times in the past. If I wanted to remain a darker blonde, I’d go with Wella Color Charm Light Blonde #811.
