This brand has been circulating in Japan for one of the choices to dye one’s hair in the colors the Japanese desire. The colors range from black to pale blonde. The instruction sheet only comes in Japanese language so it’s helpful of you know some Japanese. According to several consumers who have tried this product, your hair has to be sufficiently pre-lightened before using it. This means your hair has to be anywhere above medium brown hair to see some results from one of those products. If your hair’s already jet black or dark brown, they would merely tint your hair like a color wash rather than a permanent change. Sort of works like a semi-permanent tint. Palty Hair Dye on Models

If you truly want to try one of the lighter shades, it is recommended to use the Palty’s own bleaching series: Hair Bleach Super Flash Sparkling Blonde 08. This one will turn black hair into a bleached blonde color. Works on dark hair that’s resistant to change.

If you just simply want to go for warmer blondes or super light brown shades (think of Milk Tea Brown or Vanilla Beige), then it’s recommended to purchase Palty Hair Bleach Hard Gold Brown 08. It will turn dark hair into brilliant golden shade.

But if you’re already a light brunette or redhead, then it’s recommended to use other kind of bleach that works much more gently and achieve similar results. The one to use: Palty Hair Treatment Bleach Natural Brown 08.

    Hi Alez,
As coloring process goes, color doesn’t lift color. In fact, by using a dye over dyed hair will only create even more problems and much muddy color. Is your hair natural or dyed? If you want a light blonde shade, the only way to go there is to use a bleach or lightener regardless if you have dyed or natural hair. There’s no way around it, unfortunately. There’s no magic in a bottle that turns darkest hair to blonde instantly.

    Hi Faux Blondes,

I was wondering would I need to Bleach my hair colour again to get that Milk Tea Brown colour? I have dyed Black Hair (I was previously a Light Sandy Beige Blonde). If so, which Bleach should I use? I particularly want a light Milk Tea Brown Colour but not TOO LIGHT. Will it turn my hair green? or REALLY ASH?? Cos When I had my Light Sandy Beige Blonde colour I used Blythe Fresh Lights MOCHA (another Japanese Hair Dye) and it turned my blonde very ASH and I dyed it again it was still ASH, it didn’t budge from the Sandy Beige Blonde Colour. It just added more ash and no brown, which it should have added brown to my blonde hair :(

I’m not sure what’s the base for Milk Tea Brown bit it looks like it may have a neutral base. I suggest you to do a strand test on a strand of your hair underneath or snip a short clip of hair. You don’t need to go really light if you want this shade. All you need to lift your hair to a light orangey gold color. Then dye the Milk Tea Brown over it for a nice shade of light warm brown. Because you have a blonde color underneath black dye, I highly recommend you to do a color remover first to remove any remains of black dye before you use a bleach because it’s kinda tricky to re-bleach previously bleached hair with dark dye. Is your hair still black now or what color is it now? Wella Wellite lightener works well for most people but Clairol 7th Stage works well too.

    Hi Amy,

My hair color is starting to fade to a golden brown color. I will probably try and use a color remover on it first before I Bleach and I was thinking about using Wella Wellite Lightener cos I live in Australia and Wella is a very popular brand here and my hair dresser says it works very well :) How long should I leave in the Milk Tea Brown in wen I bleach my hair to the light orangey gold color?

    Maria,
I’m not sure of the instructions for Milk Tea Brown, but I’d say 20 minutes to be on safe side. I hope you will achieve the desired end result. Let me know how it goes. =)

    Hi Amy,

Well I dyed my hair with the Milk Tea Brown and it went really well I had to leave it in for 45min to give it a little bit more time to develop because I did a test strand at 20min and was only slightly showing. After, I finished washing my hair, the colour was quite a Milk chocolate colour which still had alot of red tinge. I bought a ash/silver toner and helped with darkening and removing the red tinge but not too much. So overall I am quite happy :) Recommend this product whoever wants a Milky Choco colour :)
